Welcome to Sudoku Mind Booster! This guide will help you get started with the app and make the most of its features.

How to Play

Sudoku is a logic-based number puzzle game. The objective is to fill a 9x9 grid with digits so that:

  • Each row contains the numbers 1-9 without repetition
  • Each column contains the numbers 1-9 without repetition
  • Each of the nine 3x3 sub-grids contains the numbers 1-9 without repetition

First Time Setup

  1. Launch the app and complete the interactive tutorial
  2. Choose your preferred difficulty level (Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert)
  3. Customize your settings in the Settings menu
  4. Start playing and enjoy!

How do hints work?

Free users receive 3 hints. You can earn additional hints by watching ads (+2 hints per ad). Premium subscribers get unlimited hints.

Can I play offline?

Yes! Sudoku Mind Booster works completely offline. All puzzles and your progress are stored locally on your device. iCloud sync is optional and only activates when you enable it.

Do you support Game Center leaderboards and achievements?

Yes. Sudoku Mind Booster integrates with Apple Game Center to provide global leaderboards for each difficulty and best overall time, plus 18 achievements. You can still play without signing in; your progress will be stored locally on your device.

How do I sign in to Game Center?

To use leaderboards and achievements, sign in with your Apple ID:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app
  2. Scroll down and tap "Game Center"
  3. Turn on Game Center and sign in with your Apple ID
  4. Reopen Sudoku Mind Booster and go to Settings > Game Center to confirm you're connected

What is Performance Mode?

Performance Mode reduces animations and visual effects to keep the game running smoothly on older devices or to save battery. You can enable it in Settings > Performance Mode.

Can I change the background theme?

Yes. Open Settings > Background Theme to choose from several animated themes or more subtle options. You can also turn off background animations while keeping your preferred theme colors.

What are the subscription options?

We offer three subscription tiers:

  • Weekly: $0.99 for 7 days (non-renewable)
  • Monthly: $2.99/month (auto-renewable)
  • Yearly: $24.99/year (auto-renewable, save 30%)

What do I get with Premium?

Premium subscribers enjoy:

  • Unlimited hints
  • Ad-free experience
  • Premium logo badge

How do I manage my subscription?

You can manage your subscription through your iPhone Settings:

  1. Open Settings app
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Select "Sudoku Mind Booster"
  5. Manage or cancel your subscription

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel, go to iPhone Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Sudoku Mind Booster > Cancel Subscription. You'll retain premium access until the end of your current billing period.

Does iCloud sync work automatically?

iCloud sync is optional and disabled by default. Enable it in Settings > iCloud Sync. Your game progress and settings will sync across all devices signed into the same iCloud account.

How do I reset my statistics?

Go to Settings > Data > Reset Statistics. Note: This action cannot be undone.

The app is not working properly. What should I do?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Force close the app and reopen it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Check for app updates in the App Store
  4. If the issue persists, contact support (see below)

How do I restore my purchase?

If you've purchased a subscription on another device or after reinstalling:

  1. Open the app
  2. Go to Settings > Subscription
  3. Tap "Restore Purchases"
  4. Your subscription will be restored automatically

Troubleshooting

App Crashes or Freezes

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the app
  • Restart your device
  • Check available storage space on your device
  • Update to the latest iOS version

Subscription Issues

  • Verify your payment method in App Store settings
  • Check your subscription status in iPhone Settings > Subscriptions
  • Try restoring purchases in the app
  • Contact Apple Support for billing issues

iCloud Sync Not Working

  • Ensure you're signed into iCloud on all devices
  • Check that iCloud Drive is enabled in iPhone Settings
  • Verify you have available iCloud storage
  • Toggle iCloud Sync off and on in app settings
